The Strategic Role of Human Resource Management

Function of Management study:
  1. coordination work activities so that they are completed efficiently and effectively with and through other people.
  2. easily to accomplish goal
  3. to know four management function which is POLC+S ( Planing, Organizing, Leading, controlling, staffing)
Planing -> set up the goal
Organizing -> process and do the way how to reach the goals (making the strategic)
leading ->  direct motivate
controlling -> make sure everything done in the right way
Staffing -> recruit, select, train, compensation, and orientation


Human Resource Management is polices & practices that involved planning labor needs conducting jobs analysis, recruiting new candidates, selecting new candidates, training new employees , managing salary of the employees,etc

Seven thinks that all manager don't want to do:
  • Hire the wrong person for the job
  • experience high turnover
  • have you people not doing their best
  • waste time with useless interviews
  • have your company in count because of discriminatory actions
  • allow a lack of training to undermine your department's effectiveness
  • commit any unfair labor practices
Basic Human Resource Concepts
  • to Getting results of the bottom line of managing
  • creates value by engaging in activities that produce the employee behaviors to the company needs to achieve its strategic goals.
Line manager and staff manager:
  • line manager is a manager who is authorized to direct the work of subordinates and is responsible for accomplishing the organization's tasks. Example : Department Manager
  • Staff Manager is a manager who assists and advises line managers. Example : HR Manager
